  • 1995 Draft Discussion

Anyone taken a look? The past two drafts I've waited until the last minute to prep but this year I'm going to try and rank a solid sized group.

According to my scout, very heavy with outfielders and starting pitching. There appears to be a big drop off after the top 12-14 prospects...which could be bad news as I pick 16th.

Haven't dug deep yet, but I think the high end pitching is a lot deeper than the bats.

At quick glance, I love 2 guys.... happy that I'll get one of them.

Seeing as you pick 2nd, I like your odds of getting one of the two players you like.

There's one guy that's a clear #1 to me, but I like the top group. Like you said, pitching seems a bit deeper than hitting.

I'll announce who I would have drafted 2nd so his career can forever be mirrored against another's.

Whoever he is, you did him a favor by letting him go to Virginia instead of Denver.

            Ouch.

My scout thinks that this is a very deep draft with a lot of serviceable players to be had probably through the 3rd round. There are a lot of borderline players after that I think have a bit of potential. I think we'll see decent talent selected through the 5th.

I honestly don't like the top group. I see a lot of serviceable guys like Delandis mentions. I'm very comfortable having like a million 2nd round and 3rd round picks.

But you (yes, you) can help me have one fewer than a million in the 2nd round. Just saying.

Use the draft utility, just like in the OSFL. PM Clay and/or Brad.

I think one player stands above all in this draft...and he has a great name.

I'm currently holding the 13th and 15th picks. I'll package these to move up in the right deal if one of two of my guys are available.

I'm 6th, I'd have no problem moving down if I get a solid offer.

Depending on 1.1.... if you're in the Top 5 or 6.... 1.2 could be available.
