Players that have been with a team (5 years?) can refuse waivers.

DFA him then, don't just put him on waivers.

I've never seen anyone not be able to be put on waivers. Right to refuse a minors assignment, sure. But not waived outright.

No, I mean, I wanted him on waivers so that someone could claim him during spring training. I told Clay this privately, I made a public announcement on the forums that I wanted him on waivers so people could claim him, I had private discussions with other owners about them claiming McGuire, and now it's 3/26 and he's cleared waivers and no one can claim him.

Because the ST games are played at our home parks, they're not played in Florida or Arizona as they are in real life.
