We hit .188 for the series...absolutely outstanding! Good series Clay...your team is far superior and showed it.

Now it's time to resign Sasaki and Kirby and try the run again next season. Oh that's right...we're Batavia...therefore we only have $7 million to resign players and they both want at least $10 million. Therefore we can't even sign one.

We did what we wanted to do and won the Porter. Time to blow it all up!

With the amount of arb players you have available you can easily create enough budget room to get both of those guys signed. Whether or not you should is a different matter because it will mean dealing with the Salary Cap. That's right, if you play your cards right, you too Batavia, can become a victim of the salary cap! Just like you always dreamed!!

Without your $111 million budget and "Charitable" owner you're nothing...always remember that only money has brought you success. We actually beat you at the gates and in merchandise...but with your fat cat media revenue that is $20 million more we can't compete.

You spent $23 million more than me this season and finished with 1 less win. Congrats! You really do deserve that 1 first place vote for GM of the year.

            I approve this message.

Being up against the CAP = UNDERRATED

Needing to get and/or stay below it = PROPERLY RATED

I also approve this message... or any anti-Pat message.

But, for the record, I think he got the 1st place vote for turning around PIT, not his other team.

I think this is an awful suggestion, but to uphold the civility of the league, I will agree with it.

For once, I agree with Clay.

I may have finished one regular season win short, but I already have three post-season wins to your one... I'll pay $20 million for that every year. (Batavia $80 vs. DC $99)

Just noticed the voting...I'm surprised I've gotten any votes.

However, I think you need to re-think the claim that my team is nothing without a high payroll. It's not just the Washington Bats, it's any BLB winner, really.

List of BLB Championship winners and their highest payroll:
                              Los Lunas - $94
                              Maine x6 - $107
                              Carolina - $92
                              Wilmington - $89
                              Washington x2 - $111
                              Windy City - $92
                              California - $96
                              Virginia x2 - $115
                              Los Alamos - $106

Basically, every team that won a title, has spent $90+ mill in a season and the teams with multiple championships, are routinely high spenders. I don't want to be misleading however, Los Lunas, Carolina, Wilmington, Windy City and California have all won titles spending less than $79,000,000, which is what you spent on your squad this season. And how about...

The big spenders who haven't won:
                              Baltimore - $124
                              Dallas - $104
                              Davenport - $96
                              Denver - $88
                              Hartford - $89
                              Hyundai - $101
                              Indy - $102
                              Mississippi - $87
                              New Orleans - $112
                              Pawtucket - $96
                              Philly - $104
                              Pittsburgh - $125
                              Syracuse - $110

So by your definition, if Washington isn't any good, neither is Virginia or Maine? Jeez, if were not good I can't imagine what you think of Baltimore.
                              Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
                              Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
                              Washington Bats - 1979-2013

I never spent $115,000,000 on payroll... that was GIGGAs... and keep in mind that Payroll number you're pulling from History is not Player Expense... it's payroll including staff.
