Patriots Hurler Named September's #1 Starter
Freddie Thompson's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 5-0 in September, the 30-year-old Pawtucket hurler has been named Domestic League Pitcher of the Month.
This year Thompson has gone 7-1 with an ERA of 2.71 and has 47 strikeouts in 69.2 innings.
