    Sounds like 1-1.

      Deal Rumored for Bulls Latham
Wednesday, September 21st, 1994: Local media has been reporting that Denver's Artie Latham could be on the move. However, neither team officials, nor the 33-year-old designated hitter chose to comment when approached.
Great foresight. We're dealing him straight to free agency.

Maybe I'm lulling him into a false sense of security?

Carolina Tobs- 2-4 this week (73-82 overall)

Not a great week for us, as we fall back into last place in the Bock, a position I'd like to avoid if possible. Of course, we're also just a game out of 2nd, if you prefer to look at things that way. This was our first losing sim since the last week of July (SIM 17). Overall it's been a pretty good stretch for us.

                The Good

-Adrian Romero hit .385 this sim and he's been very good since coming off the DL. In August he went .330/.395/.524 and so far in September he's posted a line of .341/.402/.557. He really struggled in May and June, hit the DL in July but has been fantastic since. I'd like to see him put it together for a full season, I think he could be one of the better 2Bs in the IL.

                -Rod Phillips is still hitting.

-Trevor Broomfield has been a nice pickup for us. I only added him to give me a decent arm in the bulllpen, and he's extremely popular, but he's been solid. I moved him to the rotation and he's been one of my best starters, though that isn't saying much. In September, he's made 4 starts, throwing 28 innings with a 1.29 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. Unfortunately he's 0-3 this month as we've been shut out in each of his last 3 starts.

Broomfield also resigned with this sim, for 1.4 million. I figure with his popularity, I'll keep him around and there's no such thing as a bad one year deal, at least with my budget room.

                The Bad

-Our pitching was awful. We gave up 37 runs in our 6 games, a staff ERA of 5.37 (we didn't help with 6 unearned runs). Hector Perez continued his rocky season by getting shelled in both of his starts.

-It was a complete power outage in Carolina this week. We hit 1 HR as a team, provided by Phillips. Ismael Reyes has really cooled off this month. I was hoping he'd get the team record for HRs (40), but he's stuck on 36.

                Coming Up

We close the road schedule by heading to Los Alamos for 3 games and finish the year with 4 at home against the Brawlers. Just playing out the string before heading into the offseason, which will probably be a busy one in Carolina.

Really proud of my team for getting swept by Morgantown. Nothing like hitting .220 for the week and falling backwards into the playoffs if we manage to hold onto the lead.

I still think your team is dangerous in the playoffs. You can pitch with anyone, leading the IL in most pitching categories. If a couple guys at the plate can have a good week, I think you'll go far.

Wish I could find pitchers like the ones you have.
