          Pawtucket 4-3.

We'll take it. Stayed even with Pitt, but gained a game in the wildcard race.

P Freddie Thompson and P Norm Peterson are both making a strong pitch for the annual "Bob Burleson's Key midseason signee" award.

Samuel & Carmen back this sim! Lets put a run together and end this destructive conflict.

Carolina Tobs- 5-2 this week (68-75 overall)

1-1 vs DAV, 2-0 @ CHI, 2-1 vs WIL. Another solid week for us, as we continue our good play since the beginning of August. It's too late to matter for anything, but it's better than losing every game like we usually do.

            The Good

-We scored 36 runs in the 7 games, which isn't an explosion but it was solid hitting almost every game. Rod Phillips is still hitting well, Masaoki Matsumoto came out of his slumpand Pat Faulkner continued his solid play. Faulkner was dreadful for most of the season, but has been very good since August began.

-The starting pitching, outside of Noel Botiglieri. We didn't have any amazing performances, but the 5 other guys who started kept us in every game and generally pitched fairly well. Youngsters Adrian Iturriaga and Val Aparicio both pitched well, they've really helped my rotation since coming up.

            The Bad

            -Noel Botiglieri
has been a complete disaster as a SP this season. After getting off to a decent start to the year, he's just gotten rocked every single time he's gone out there. This time he lasted 2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 4 hits and walking 2. Luckily we hit well enough to win the game.

            What's Next

We hit the road for all six games next week, first against Morgantown, then across the country to California. We've been playing pretty well lately (25-13 since August 1), but we're a bad road team. Prediction: 2-4. It'd be nice to keep up the solid play, but in reality we're just playing out the year.

Yes it was. My hitting is atrocious...I don't doubt we can still blow it. The only thing saving me is this...

Holy crap, I need to start taking my meds again (right, Jistic?!)

I really thought I couldn't check on my team because I didn't have time to open the game.

                          This since 1 PM.

I completely forgot I could check the HTML. Completely forgot. What the hell is wrong with me?

Pinch hit specialist and a bullpen coach-player...both extremely popular.... I'll take it.
