    C) Playoffs are 3-4 man rotations. That slides more talent into the 'Pen.

The Colonials now view the BLB regular season like the NHL or NBA... games don't really matter.

...plus... I'd argue I won't be the favorite going in this year. LA beat me last season... and Mississippi just handled me.

You could make the argument, but it would fall on deaf ears...like a Funclown post.

Give me a break. You have the two best hitters and three of the four best pitchers in all of baseball. If you're not the favorite, I have no idea who is.

I'm not sure I'd say we hit "a ton," but the lineup certainly isn't the problem for my team. In a season or two (once Hamilton makes the leap) we could really be able to hit, but if I can't get this rotation sorted out it's not going to matter.

Your team is 8-1 against me this season, I'd be happy to get one win out of this. At the moment, I think you've got 5 SP on your team better than anyone I can put out there.

I've officially reached the frustrating part of the rebuilding. I think this team is close and there's some pieces here but we're just not quite ready yet. If I was a different owner, I'd proclaim myself the team to beat in a few seasons.

Baltimore Bulldogs: 66-57, 2 GB in Porter, T-1st in IL Wildcard)

            1-2 @ MAI
            1-2 @ PIT

            The Good

            -The Maine Event:
Both Don Castor and Kyoden Kubota had multi-home run games in Maine. Castor's came in a 9-10 loss where closer Don McKay gave up a walk off home run to Shumkichi Kiyomizu.

Kubota had a bit more luck as his heroics lead to an 11-3 win against his old home. Despite the Bulldogs closing inter-league play with a losing record, Kyoden played very well: .423/.516/.808 with going 11 for 23 with the two home runs and 5 walks.

-DL or IL, It Doesn't Matter: Donnie Greene continues to shine, earning his 12th win of the season. The former DL star, pitched 8 innings, giving up only 4 hits and 1 earned run.

            The Bad

            -No Confidence Left:
Former Bulldog star pitcher, Juan Jose Garcia has lost all confidence in his abilities. After a terrible outing last week, Garcia follows it with another stinker. After the Bulldogs pull out to a 3-0 lead, Garcia goes out and gives up back to back....TO BACK home runs. Now granted all three players are likely Hall of Fame candidates (Gremades, Scott, Guzman), that is inexcusable. Just freakin' walk him if you don't feel you can get the guy.

            What's Next:

-This is a huge week as we head home to host Los Alamos and Washington in pivotal matchups with wildcard implications. One bright spot is that ROY candidate, Marv Barnes, comes off the DL and will hopefully bring a bit more punch back to the lineup.

Sounds like a deal with Hamilton for Jerry Morgan as the priciples should be happening this off-season. You get your ACE and don't have to wait on Hamilton anymore.

He's already got an ace, Aparacio. And he's only 21, not turning 29. He's in the same boat as you, he needs a bullpen.

                  A News: Playoffs begin
Sunday, August 21st, 1994: "Baseball is a marathon," or so the saying goes. But once the Bush League playoffs start today, it's a sprint to the finish. One false move, one errant miscue, one pressure-packed flub will end your team's chances of winning the title. It could be over in a moment. On the other hand, one swing of the bat or a fastball blown by the last hitter could just as easily send your team parading down Main Street, hoisting a 24-carat gold-studded Bush League Championship trophy before an adoring crowd. The contending ballclubs are all poised and ready -- the playoffs begin today with several Wild Card Round showdowns:
Stone Harbor Crows versus Gettysburg Glory, Rockville Redhawks versus Little Rock Bulls, Fort Myers Capitals versus Seattle Pilots and Cheyenne Wranglers versus Evansville Hit Kings.

                  AA News: Playoffs begin
Monday, August 22nd, 1994: The regular season has given way to heightened anxiety around the clubhouse as teams with championship aspirations prepare for the final sprint to the finish line. It's time for the great players to step up and earn their fame, for the average players to get a shot at immortality and for rookies to make a name for themselves. Some dread it, some relish it. Everyone who dreams of playing in Lautering Union wants to have a once-in-a-lifetime shot at championship glory. The 1994 LU Sweet Sixteen kicks off today with these exciting match-ups:
Frisco Beavers versus Bar Harbor Blues, Richmond Riot versus Charleston Rebels, Lawrence Patriots versus Auburn Venom, Lexington Quakes versus Oklahoma City Bulls, Mohave Valley Dust Devils versus Frederick Stars, Mojave Mavericks versus Camden Sand Tigers, Battle Creek Flakes versus Sacramento Amish and Eagle River Wolverines versus Burlington Jammers. <table style="margin-bottom:6px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td style="padding-left:8px;" valign="top" width="110">

Because you tried to buy a Championship and killed Harry Keppel's legacy. I spit in your general direction.

An ACE can't be an unproven prospect. A POTENTIAL ACE....sure. Morgan has won at least 14 games in the best division in the BLB in the middle of a six man rotation his entire career. He'd be an ACE on Carolina today... and throughout the prime he is yet to enter.

                          Just sayin'.

                              1. He didn't win 14 games in '88.
                              2. He won't win 14 games this year.
                              3. Safe bet that Morgan's peak years were '91-'93.
                              4. The Stout is the best division in baseball, I will give you that.

Disagree. His best years are still ahead. Yes, Prez said he'll be 29 next season... but keep in mind he just turned 28 like four days ago. He's got 100+ wins in his BLB career left... and his salary is NUTS for what he does.

Again, completely recognize that I'm biased, but I think he is THE hidden gem in the BLB. If this year is his "down year", I'll take it if I'm an owner.
