I think Walter Lacour made it to 42, but I'd be surprised if anyone else made it longer.

Gremades is having a superb year at 37. Right up there with Doorbell.

You mean when he won post season MVP in '94? That was a fitting end.

He prefers the name, Shitty. As in, although he is one of the all-time best, he is still having a shitty year.

Technically he won't be post season eligible unless you get him on your roster by August 31st....and the whole playing for a team that isn't making the post-season thing.

Just sit back and enjoy the feel good story of the year as the two first ballot HOF'ers put together one last ride of glory and ride off into the sunset.

Sorry. Two Pitt owners ago.. used to cry about how terrible Gremades was, despite the fact that Shitty consistently (as you see to this day) putting up monster numbers every year. Somewhere along the line, (I'd wager it was either Pat or Clay) gave him the name "Shitty" and ironically it stuck. You'll see it referred to here and there every once in a while.

It was the biggest joke in the league when I joined up back in '84...wow ten seasons ago. Which was really like 3 or 4 real years ago.

Damn I'm getting old. I need a drink.

                            I miss posts like:

"That guy is a piece of Gremades."

"Damnit, we just had a Gremades week."

                            "GREMADES!"

Don't forget, Pittsburgh can never issue #40 again. Joe Reyes earned it.

I'm not sure who started using "piece of Gremades" and things like that first. However, I do know that it was one of my proudest BLB moments when I brought him to Virginia and issued him the #2.
