      Your team sucks.

Weird thing I saw this sim. RP Doug Gallagher whom played for us last year became a free agent and sat unsigned up until last sim when he signed with Syracuse. When he signed I took the minor hit on fan interest. Really? In late June? He's been off the team since last year people!

I know, it's weird. Our interest crashed a month ago when Trevor Broomfield signed with CAR. It was weird getting the message two months into the season already that fans were upset that a known FA who wasn't on the roster had found employment elsewhere. The fact that he wasn't in the team photo or was totally absent from the media guide should have been their first clue.

We actually performed as I expected?

2 of 3 against Los Lunas and 1 of 3 against Mississippi. Um, my team likes me. They really like me.

Also, I find it pretty interesting that as soon as Browning and Zamarida get shipped out, a few select guys took it upon themselves to actually start hitting again. What do they call that?

            Hmmm.....

Travis Knorr (SP), our 1994 4th round pick has pitched two complete games in his first two minor league starts. 1.50 ERA, 3 BB, 10K, 18 IP

In other news, beating up on the Stout has been fun these last two weeks.

Hey, I was just about to post a minor league factoid from my team too!

Our 2nd round pick Tommy Jenkin has hit in every game since being drafted.

That's an 11-game hit streak. He never had more than a 9-gamer in the Cape Cod League.

You went 8-4...I went 9-3. I really needed those two weeks. Hopefully we can keep it up.

I would like to respectfully request that neither of you do so. Thanks.

                    Notes:

                    - 1-run games are killing me

                    - Woodbury becomes the 4th man in BLB history to drive in 1500 runs

                    - Pancho Herrera is really, really good.

                    That is all.

I give you two weeks before you trade away a star pitcher for some picks and prospects.

Real world weeks or fake baseball weeks?

                              Washington Bats (44-32; 1 GB)

                              2-1 vs. Windy City
                              0-3 vs. Baltimore
Another sweep on a weekend series. Third one this month. Others have said this before but sometimes in the world of the BLB, your team just can't get it right. The Bats are in a funk right now, which is of course the perfect time for the injuries to start piling up.

                              The Good
-Soon-to-be All-Star Len Jenkins is the truth. Well, not really. Like my BLB squad this year, water is going to eventually find its level and Jenkins will not pitch this well for the entire season. Let me enjoy it now. Or at least try to when he pitches 7.1 shutout innings...a game my team would eventually lose.

-Another under-the-radar name, Don Bolton is starting to figure it out. The flame-thrower reliever has steadily improved and now has a four game streak of two strikeouts... 101 MPH fastball guys.

-Helllllllooooo Waylon Morgan! The dude has bitched about being in the BLB for so long I just got sick of it. His debut for the Bats: 7 shutout innings, 7 Ks, 0 BBs.

                              The Bad
-SP Nate Taylor has not been the same player since his three-month DL stint last season. What once looked like a steal of an acquisition (and contract extension) now looks like a miss.

                              The Ugly
-One week after Shawn Burton goes down for six weeks, Larry Larochelle ends his season (and probably career?) after hurting his elbow. My rotation is pretty weak behind Tucker and Jenkins...

                              The Week Ahead
                              -3 vs. Philly....3 @ Davenport...then the All-Star break. I'm predicting good things.
                              Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
