5-1 for the week, a team ERA of 1.67 and we may just be hitting our stride at this point. The pitching has seemed to settle down a bit over the last couple of weeks, a trend we would love to continue. We're still offensively challenged, but we'll see what happens leading up to the trade deadline.

4-2. Lost a tough series with the Dukes before sweeping the Storm. Our dominance outside of the Stout continues!

Played washington and Virginia tough, but we're 12 out. Time to start planning for next season. Veterans Dealba and Tesina are going on the block. I'm tempted to just cut Rodenas, but I think I'd have to swallow the mutual option on his contract.

Really? I could swear I got nailed with this in another league. Good to know. I may just stick him on the block and tie some cash to his schwartz, just in case someone thinks they could use him.

Have The Boss decline the option and you're good to go.

If it's a team or mutual option the act of releasing the player voids the option year. You can test it by selecting to release him and you'll get a warning message about adding $XXX to your player expenses. That message with the $$ amount should confirm that the amount you would incur would be the prorated amount of salary he has remaining on this year's salary only. His $10mil for next year wouldn't get factored in.

Its actually quite amazing what LA has done despite being hit with the injury bug.
