4-3...lost all three in the final innings. Also our 1st back to back winning sims. If we actually put a few of these together watch out .500 record.

Yea. Collectively, this is the worst we've been in a while.

That was very nice of you, Clay.

You ran a sim (thank you) but also kept re-simming just so Denver could have a winning one.

In a time when 3-4 sounds good, 4-3 is like going 7-0.

4-3. Looked like we were headed for a rocky week, dropping two to Mississippi and the first of two to Los Lunas, but we rebounded for four straight wins including a three-game sweep of Hyundai. Injuries to our starting OF continue to mount though, as Gene Crews will miss 3-4 weeks with a thumb that he sprained while legging out a double.

                News and notes:

                - Seika Sumita is 5-1 with a 3.74 ERA in 8 starts since moving from the bullpen to the rotation.
                - Glen "Coffin" Harrington continues to impress with a 1.54 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 11.2 IP.
                - McMahon and Curtis both have ERAs under 4.00. I'm calling that progress.
                - Don O'Finegan, who netted zero trade inquiries during the offseason in spite of our attempts to move him, is having another typically great year. He leads all DL 2B in most major offensive categories and is crushing all BLB 2B in ISO, XBH, TB, and RBI.
                SIN CITY GAMBLERS since 1990
                NEW ORLEANS DUKES since 1993
                1998 BLB Champions
                2000 BLB Champions

I think I made a public proclamation somewhere about him. Like him a lot. Knew he was well on his way.

                    Baseball life is tough.

If we had some good pitching, we'd be in the hunt. Of course, how do we do that without giving up the offense?

Life (or the draft better be doing me right).

Well, I have no idea how my team is playing this well but its bound to end soon. My starting pitching still is mediocre at best and relies on a 40 year old Russ McEvoy.

My problem is the Stout. 4-18 in the Stout. 27-31 overall.

I'd be running away with the other two sorry ass divisions.

Carolina Tobs- 2-5 this week (26-32 overall)

1-1 @ DAV, 1-1 vs LAM, 0-3 @ CHI. Not a good week in the division for us.

Ismael Reyes hit 4 HRs this sim, bringing him into a tie with Dani Alvarez for the BLB lead with 16 homers. At the moment, I think he should start at 1B in the all-star game, but we'll see if he keeps it up.

Masaoki Matsumoto won IL Rookie of the Month for May and has his average up to .319. He's turned into a nice surprise from where I drafted him.

Val Aparicio continues to have little trouble with AAA. He pitched twice this week, going 14.1 innings, striking out 20 and walking 3, giving up 1 earned run. He'll get a callup soon, I think. He won BCC Pitcher of the Month for May.
