10th!? Shit, the Shavermetrics usually favor the Bats, but 10th sounds about right.

Shavermetrics badly underrates your own team.

As for me, 20th? I guess that's in the right range. I think we're better than we were last year. I'd say 70-75 wins for this team, perhaps being a little optimistic.

You have just made someone's day with this post.

Matt will let someone off with a warning tonight.

Shavermetrics is a formula and it's a snapshot of a moment in time. I never agree with them 100% (for example, the Husk injury would take Mississippi down in my personal opinion).

It's not me. It's science. I don't do anything but input the data.

Well, we're short a bat or two and we're quite young in several key spots. Seems about right.

At 15, we are severely overrated.

It's not factored into the equation, but it's pretty amazing that your entire guaranteed salary coming out of ST ($19,400,000) is less than 4 player's one year salary this season (Kinsey, Carbajal, Woodbury and Keppel).

Impressive, I know. We tried to spend money. We went after Carbajal and Kinsey, and a couple others. At the end of the day, I just felt we were better off moving forward with what we have. 76-86 last year, I believe. A year older, and hopefully a year better. Two first round picks, including number 1 overall. We're moving in the right direction.
