It's only Spring Training, but Angelo Hernandez who was given the full time RF spot due to Wouters departure was in the leaderboards amongst the who's who in BLB hitters. While we don't expect that when it counts, it would be nice to see him take the next step in his development and ease the loss of Wouters.

Saving for a rainy day. And it is pouring in Mississippi right now.

Sunday, March 27th, 1994: The Mississippi Storm were dealt a severe blow when Don Leonard was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Denver Bulls. After the game, the team trainer reported Leonard might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 28-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. They indicated it would take Leonard at least 12 months to heal.

Ednams has an amazing ST then my scout says he takes a talent hit in contact! Sigh.

Also it hurts to lose our leadoff man and our best contact hitter, Jarava, for over a month. The kid has turned out well for a 2nd rounder!

Don Leonard goes down for the year. How disappointing...

I did a lot of bargain bin shopping. I'm intrigued to see how these guys will turn out. After seeing my Mets do the same discount shopping, I'm going to gamble. It might be a rough year in Mississippi after that Leonard injury anyway
