Name the top 3 New Brew candidates by league (so essentially, name 6)
I would have said Porter but I think Scott's been just as valuable to a championship team instead of my sad sack of scrubs. And Z's before that.

Honestly, I overlooked him because he's on the 60 Day DL.

              I can't.

Lets just use Brad's new question:

Name the top 3 leadoff hitters
Jerry Daly (VIR)-Maybe best baserunner of this era plus he's got power and hits for average. Easily #1.

Ivan Garcia (BAL)-One of the best eyes in the game. I expect him to have a decent career. Good for 30-35 steals a year but has lost a step over the last 2 years or so.

Robert Abbott (WAS)-Always one of my favorite players. Will also have a long career because he's got just enough speed and one of the better hitters in the league (for average).

                  We can keep Funclown's question:

What 3 teams will have the best pitching in '94.

Baltimore Bulldogs - BLB since '84
                  - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12
                  - Playoffs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '99, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12, '13, '14, '15, '16
                  - Brewmaster's Cup: '01

3 - I'm not sure I can come up with another "lock", it also depends on how loose the term outfielder is. Gremades? Kinsey? Both have spent plenty of time (with often times disastrous results) in the OF.

3 Big Names "to get" at the Trade Deadline
1 - Everardo Gremades - PIT's not likely to challenge for the Ale and Gremades is a FA at the end of the year. Any team looking for offense at 1B/DH would probably look here first, unless:

2 - Jose Guzman - they look here first. Actually 1 and 2 are fairly interchangeable on this listing, it will depend on team need.

3 - Donato Guardamagni - completely contingent on Windy City's position at the deadline. I have real doubts that he'll even be available, but if he is he's probably the top arm on the market . . if he's not personally responsible for Windy City's hypothetically being active as a seller at the deadline.

Name 3 players who absolutely must stay healthy in order for their teams to contend (truly the 3 most "valuable" to their teams)

That's a good one.... tough one....

                          First thoughts....

Pat Dimmick (LA) - The rest of the staff is good... but if Dimmick went down they'd be counting on a very young guy (McDonald) and a guy in his golden years (Gugz).

Rex Knight (IND) - This is a tough one because I think Indy's strength is actually their pitching right now. But, despite the fact that Garcia seems like the real deal, dealing Rodriguez leaves question marks (IMO). Are they counting on Cahill to fill an OF spot at 39?

Chuck Durham (HAR) - This one is based almost 100% on the fact that I think he's the best young player in the DL and he's a big loss.

Love to hear other team's take on this one....

                            Interesting list Clay. I had:

Rex Knight- Carries the Indy offense, while also being the best defensive CF in the league. The Clowns would be lost without him.

Pat Dimmick- Breakout star of Los Alamos' championship team and the anchor of the rotation. Their offense isn't overpowering, so he must be healthy.

Pancho Herrera- The best pitcher in the league and it's not really close. The Colonials' might still be the best team in the league without Ironfist, but they would become much more beatable if he went down. They were a different team then, but it's no coincidence Virginia only won 89 games the year Herrera was out.
                            Washington Bats, 2013-

I thought about someone from my team... and, I agree with everything you said, but Herrera's lost season was before Morgan and Jenkins were legit pitchers. He'd be a huge loss, but I think Woodbury would be a MUCH bigger loss on my team. With my lack of depth in the OF, no Woodbury = Danny Nelson: Starter.

Hell, look at the ILCS. Woodbury disappeared and we lost 4 straight.
