If I'm at 102 and cut someone costing 3, what happens to that players salary? Am I no longer accountable for it on my total players salary?

Your player salary can never exceed $100.0 unless pushed over by a call-up.
Unfortunately, it's a system that has not been perfected yet.The Great One!

For instance: You have a payroll of $102 MM. You cut a guy with a $3 MM salary. You replace him with a minor league player, thus triggering his league minimum salary of $280,000. Your active payroll is now $99,280,00.
That makes sense?

It does and that's what I feared it was. I guess I just feel teams should still treat it as active salary. I'm not even sure that's possible but it would probably help with all the money floating around in this game. It is what it is, just doesn't make sense to me.

It just appears to be a way for people to spend crazy money on players because the know they can always cut salaries and not have it prevent them from participating in free agency. The Great One!
