I mean, obviously. The highest paid player is usually the most recent decent player to sign. If Woodbury were a FA right now he'd make upwards of $30M. But he's not and never will be, and neither will any of the other guys you listed.

So he's going to beat Harcourt's payday?

I'm actually glad that the players are asking for that type of money because they know teams will pay it. It's like they're aware of the salary climate for a change. The next change I'd like to see is other players becoming aware of what guys make in FA. Like players on the level of Kinsey and Carbajal should just flat out refuse to sign extensions because they now see that they can make an absolute shit-ton of money in free agency. But that doesn't happen.SIN CITY GAMBLERS since 1990

There are some teams that are built to win now, and it makes sense for them. It made sense for me at one point, too. Now...not so much.

Small victory for the Colonials this SIM. Locked in Olivo below his ARB number for the next few seasons. Keep him at $10 or lower until the Woodbury contract leaves the books. I know 10 teams want to try to bring him over and make him a Starter. Still taking calls. The Great One!
To many rings to count...

We really energized the fan base this sim with the addition of 31 year olds 2B Vic Fernandez and MR Curt Shepard. Shepard allowed 5 baserunners and two runs in a one inning appearance against Syracuse last season so our guys already love him.
