However, to me, HOF #'s are HOF #s regardless of position.

Top 5 in AVG for 7 years
Best OBP in the league for 6 years, including 4 year span: '85-'88.
Top 4 in OBP for 9 years.
#5 All Time (among retired players) in AVG
#2 All-Time in OBP among all players (only surpassed by Shitty)
6X All-Star (in a league with great catchers)
    1987 Cup Champion with California

He even has the same amount of hits as Lumar with almost 300 less ABs.

Elliot's numbers are borderline HOF at worst, and I'm not going to penalize him because he drew a lot of walks (isn't that what you are supposed to do) and was traded a lot. Hell he was traded so much because he was so valuable. He hit for a very good average, was one of the best ever in OBP, and did it for 16 years.

He's got a least one vote.
Personally, I don't put too much weight in All-Time lists with our limited history. Plus, while the BLB is C strong, not really always the case in the I'll.

My opinion... Just not enough from Harry.

I won't be voting for Elliot (surprise surprise), but he certainly has a better resume than a lot of bums who've gotten votes.

      I'm looking at you Carlos.

I think were always gonna have guys who get a personal vote or two.

I will likely be one of those guys that gives Elliott a vote too even though I said I likely wouldn't.

I still have to look deeper into his performance compared to other players. Like Delandis, I actually don't care about position. Just put up the numbers. I don't think OOTP really creates players by position. A 2B can be just as powerful as a 1B in OOTP world so why compare offense by position?

Belated "Attaboy!" to Spot. Always new you had it in ya'. How about mailing some of it to Los Lunas?
