That would be cool, even if only BLB guys will care for it. I guess it could be treated as a work of fiction (what, the BLB isn't real?) I'll have to look into that.

As for selling the thing...I have an idea that would benefit the league. I think if guys were charged a price to obtain the book, they'd be even more willing to do it if the money is going to SGN to maintain the site.

Do they still make books on tape?
Tell Mrs. Shaver you want a smart phone and we can work on getting you an audio book for iTunes.

Well, unfortunately I can't commit 100% to a system of daily sims. We can certainly base it on schedule and call it best case scenerio, but I'll simply say "my bad". Running SIMS (even short ones) is a process and I can't promise that every 10-12 weeks will fall on a week where I can SIM daily. I think if the format were playing this season is worst case scenerio, its already an improvement.

And for that Carlos has been removed from the #1 ranking and dropped completely. This should make prez happy.

Let's welcome our new #1 Diesel!

I'm not saying we won't do dailies. Just saying, you'll have to be patient with my schedule.

The day of the week thatv we have our annual parade doesn't matter to me.

Aw, man. I had a good feeling you'd end up doing that. It's OK. OOTP 12 comes out soon.

Love the matchup coming up. Best pitcher in the game today, Pancho, in the midst of his prime, versus one of the best of all time, Gugs, now 40 and in the twilight of his career, on what could only be described as (possibly) the last big start of his life. If only Bob Costas could work the lead for this one.

And then who gets the call against Jenkins in game 7, if neccessary of course? The other geriatric, LaRochelle (a two time Slammer, boom), or young McDonald?
McDonald I think. No way it will be LaRochelle. Just hoping Gugs will hold steady to get us there.

I'm a big Dimmick fan. Because of that, I took the "calculated risk" of switching Morgan and Pancho going into this series. My theory was that Dimmick would get Games 1/5 and provide easily their two best chances to win. That would give me Pancho in 2/6 and Jenkins in 3/7. The only real shock to me at this point was winning GAME 1 vs Dimmick (though he was great). So, the risk looks good on paper right now. I get two chances to win one game with two of the best pitchers in 1993. I can't even worry about what they counter with. I give my team two GREAT chances to win.

That being said... Woodbury needs to hit... something he hasn't done in the first 5 games.

I considered doing the same thing but I was forced to go with whoever was ready because of the 7 game series in the first round. With the way McDonald has pitched so far I am happy to go with Gugs and him to get me there. No going to be easy though.

                        *drum roll*

                        A book about the BLB.

I don't know how long it'll take me, but I already have a long list of chapters that will cover a lot about the league. Well, I have ideas on chapters. I haven't actually outlined the thing, but I already know what I want to do with this book because I stare at two books that have pretty much all of the chapters I want in it.

And because of what I'm covering, it won't matter that the league's history continues to grow as I write the thing. It has a very set time period.

In time I'll probably ask some people for things to add to it. It depends. I can't confirm I'll need this, but I probably will. (Edit: Not for stories, but for quotes, extra thoughts on players/teams).

And, I'm thinking that as I write it, I'll post some excerpts every now and then.

So there, if there isn't even more reason to get this done than to announce it to the league, I don't know what else could do it. And Matt, don't make me leave promises on when it'll be done. It'll be written. I want it. I think it'll be very fun to write.

Clay, I won't be writing it from my phone...entirely.
                        Wow, sounds ambitious! Can't wait.
