Ed Weatherspoooooooooooooon
IL Last Call
5-3, 5 saves, 1.89 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 100 IP, 82 G
#1 in VORP
#3 in WHIP
#4 in ERA
Signed this guy in late March and he responded by having arguably the best season of any RP in baseball. Unreal season for Weatherspoon. Enjoy the Free-Agent dollars.
Yep. That's pretty much it.Last edited by Pat; 06-09-2011, 01:20 PM.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

Gil O'Moore (SP)
17-5, 2.33 ERA
1.05 WHIP, 187 K
-He is the best starting pitcher in the league who's last name isn't Herrera. He gets paid a lot of money in Baltimore, but he has earned every penny. He may not get the IL Pale Ale, but he deserves a good look for 2nd place.

Pete Miles (C/2B)
.279/.335/.446
11 HR / 78 RBI
Pete Miles was our 3rd round pick in the 1990 draft. After destroying opponents in AAA competition in 1992, Miles was given the opportunity to back up superstar catcher, Kyoden Kubota, and didn't disappoint. In fact towards the end of the season, Miles has assumed full time catcher duties while Kubota plays 3B. Miles has the ability to make timely hits which is shown with the rookie's 78 RBI, 2nd among all IL rookies.Last edited by Delandis; 06-09-2011, 10:05 AM.

97 G, 100.1 IP, 3.32 ERA, 106 K, 23.3 VORP
Kade "Evil Ways" McCormick made a quick rise from Chatham of the Cape Cod League to the BLB after being the 12th pick in the 1992 amateur draft.
Blessed with a fastball that touches 101, McCormick put up over a strike out an inning while pitching in the sixth most games in league history (97).
McCormick ended the year with the third highest VORP among all rookies in the IL, and deserves some votes for his tireless work on a bad Kodiaks team.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

SP Jerry Williams
Jerry had a great rookie campaign.

With a little more run support could've easily won 15 games. Everyone knows pitching wins championships so don't waste your vote on another fly by night hitter.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS
