Good week. Normally I'd be opposed to seeing my team playing so well. I'd rather have the better draft position. However, with California's first rounder next year, I'm enjoying seeing them fight for the worst record in the BLB while my team plays some decent ball.

Oh, and Zak Gaston for IL ROY.

          3-3...season over.

Washington, Davenport, Baltimore and Chicago have 5 players on fire. We have one. Some times the dice just don't go your way.

Only picked up a game on you. 3 losses this week ALL by one run a piece. Frustrating but we're a game back in the last week so we'll take it. This team won 73 games last year and it in the mix with a week left...can't complain too much.

This should be awesome to watch down the stretch. Another Lonnie Coleman Rule? If we win the Porter, we face VA if Washington wins the wildcard. We get LAif Windy City gets the wildcard. Sorry Pat, but I think you know who we are pulling for.

5-1, 6 game lead in the Porter and our magic # is 2. We have to go 0-6 and Batavia has to go 6-0. However, stranger things have happened (see 1984 and 1990 Bulldogs meltdown). Hopefully we can capture the crown before we close out the regular season against Batavia. Its been one hell of a 2nd half for us.

BTW Matt, you can thank two owners for not allowing me to trade O'Moore.

The fact that your team is far more talented than mine...and you have money coming out of the wazoo...and you had to have two people convince you not to trade your best players worries me! You were a lock to take the Porter form day one...we just played some great early ball. The 11-16 August doomed us though, combined with some "way outta their talent" playing by other teams.

                      EDIT...our fall from grace.

                      From '92-'93 hitting.

                      CF Rojas
                      .302/.374/.426 to .237/.293/.338

                      RF Nan
                      .295/.374/.486 to .244/.320/.424

                      Awesome game sometimes.

Same thing as usual in Carolina, though I guess 3-3 is something to celebrate around here. We got some pretty good hitting performances, just not consistent. Our recent callup Pat Faulkner had another good week. I think he's hitting over his head, but he could be ok. It's not going to show up in the final record, but I think we're a better team this year than last.

Am I missing something? Batavia has Cali, while B'More has Philly before they go head to head. I'm not sure that race is over. Yes, it would be tough... but I don't think it's over.

Speaking of not over...... Feckin' Don Hudson.

....and how about Don Mcguire crushing a fist full this week and pulling within one of the record in HRs?

I used a lot of qualifiers in my post.

When I say allowed I meant that I wanted quite a bit for him and they didn't bite.
