Still deadlocked with Windy City. Huge week coming up with games against WC and DC, finally the playoff picture could become clear for once.

Like clockwork, I lose an essential piece of my team for the playoffs. Sammy Scott - Setup Stud - goes down with a very scarey sounding injury. Al McGinnis will slide into the Setup role.... but this hurts. Scott has been a great placesetter for Olivo.

All in all... feel like my team is playing really well right now. 3 of 4 from the Bats gave me a mental boost going into the stretch since I expect to see him in the playoffs. O'Hegarty replacement Anastasio Colon has a decent first Pro week including one great game where he drove in 5 despite stranding 6 more... could have been a day for the ages.

Pancho Alvarez has been red hot. Hit over .400 in August and wins DL Hitter of the Month.

Just to show how anemic Denver's offense has been over the past 15 years, if Alvarez finishes with an OPS over .880, it would place him 11th all-time in Denver. And Zamarida had done it 4 times on his own, leaving only Rochester, Seagarra, Tesina (really) and Hamlet on the list.


In other news, Pat has found yet another way to spite me as his AAA team beat the Tucson Bulls in the Semi-final round to the AAA Championships. It was a great run with three teams tying for the 81-win lead in victories.
