Yea, it's actually been a nice change of pace for me. I made it a goal of mine to field more competitive teams in the minors. Get back to those late 80's years when all three affiliates were competing for titles or winning them.

And I wanted to do it without feeding those teams with old players that would dominate the league. Not as easy in AAA, which is why I'm more proud of that A ball team. But, still, I'd like to see my Tucson Bulls win a third title under my regime.

Still on pace at this point, but just barely. It'd be a shame if he ended up a few hits shy and then left for FA . . . or even worse, decided to hang them up.

3-3 but injuries to Duane Porter and Josey.

Josey is such a bum, it should make up for losing Porter.

Took 2/3 from Indy and 2/3 from Denver

McEvoy is pitching lights out ball right now. He has to be in the discussion for the DL Pale Ale right now. If he didn't have a few rough years a few years back, he would have had a chance for 300 wins. He's a real throwback.

We needed that after the stretch we just went through...

BTW, the Bock 3rd place team would be leading the Porter and the Pilsner and in second in the Lager (by 8 games over Los Lunas). Just sayin'...

In the Ale, if your above .500 you can still be in last place!

The Pilsner is crap right now. We just all suck. Especially Ryan, Jim and Jake.

Lucky dice rolls my friend. This is a season for the ages...enjoy it. The Bock is much more '92 than '93.

And always remember Batavia has a higher winning percentage than LA and as many playoff appearances...and we've only had 1 winning season!

Yes, but I have a better winning percentage than you meaning that LA was pretty bad when I wasn't in the league yet. And I would also be curious about the level of draft picks we've both had to work with.

As for the Bock being more '92 than '93 I'm not too sure. I think the Bock has seen a nice improvement based on some good young players starting to mature. The Bock has had, collectively, some fairly highly rated systems recently and I think we are starting to see the fruits of that.

1990 first round draft choice Gene Crews finally got the call and has proven that he's ready to hit at the BLB level, going 15-45 over his first 12 games with 2 HR and 11 RBI. Our scouts think his eye could still use some work, but his free swinging ways are welcome as we continue to inject more power into our lineup.

We're still a work in progress obviously, but some young homegrown talent is finally starting to see the show this season. Curtis, McMahon, Everhart, Sumita, Washington, Yoshida, Dunlap, and now Crews. A few are paying their dues this season, especially our pitchers, but I'm hopeful that we can continue to improve before we crush their collective wills to live.
