*sigh* We get one young middle infielder back from the DL (Taureda) only to send another young middle infielder right back (Sandoval).

The sim gods have not been kind to us this year. Our hitting is atrocious in key situations this year.

Virginia...5 players are on fire. LA, Windy City, and Washington...4 players. We have 3...that are ice cubes!

3-3 sim. Is our 2nd half schedule identical to the first half?

Pull into a tie for first with those fuckin' Clowns, then lose Carbajal for the rest of the year. In a contract year.

Can't put a dent in Maine's 6 game WC lead...ugh. Do I stick it out and pray for some sim miracles? Lost 3 1 run games this sim so I don't think that's happening...man I wish I had more time before the deadline and more cap space.

Chad Mullen has not only lost his spot as the closer (three blown saved this aim for two losses and one win. That's a 4-2 sim turning into a 2-4 sim) but his job in baseball.

I'd offer him for a bag of baseballs but I wouldn't devalue our baseballs in that way. My advice is don't pick him up. Not worth it.

2 walk-off wins and added a game to the Bock lead. Don't know what's around the corner (there's ALWAYS something around the corner...) but for now I am a happy guy.

This game has become too predictable. 6 - 1 week, pick up 4.5 games on the Storm. Right on cue, the equalizer injuries hit. I guess I should be grateful the programming didn't require an injury to Cavadas or Davis.

Star C Signs Extension with Washington
Thursday, July 15th, 1993: Fans hailed the signing of Mike Murdock today as the Washington Bats catcher came to terms with the club.

Set to make $84,500,000 over the upcoming 5 years, Murdock signed primarily out of loyalty to the organization, thrilling the most diehard supporters who think there isn't much loyalty in a market driven by free agency.

So far this season Murdock has hit .271 with 11 home runs, 43 RBIs and and scored 41 times.
Almost $17 per for a guy with a .745 OPS this season must mean you have a ton of faith that this is just a blip.

I like Murdock. That's just a lot of money for a guy in a down year.

So you were playing hardball with him all season and in the end had to settle for no home town discount? Let that be a lesson to you kids out there.
