No pressure... it's only THE BIGGEST DECISION THAT YOU'LL HAVE TO MAKE IN YOUR BLB OWNERSHIP LIFE!!!

    (At least so far)

You know, you can use Detroit if you really want to.

Some other significant areas not represented in the BLB include most of the Midwest (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota), the entire state of Florida, the West Coast has a couple teams, but nothing compared to the East Coast.

There are a lot of options left.

I think if I had an expansion team starting today (and I didn't use Detroit - my hometown), I would personally use Florida. There are a ton of kids in the Ammy draft in from Florida that I've noticed and I have to wonder if that would have any effect on their local popularity ratings.

Yeah, I was thinking either Indiana, where I'm from, or somewhere that hasnt been used yet.

I'm gonna sleep on it, I work third and had a final yesterday before work, so i'll let you guys know later this afternoon.

Yup, that's right. The only real requirement is that you pick a city.

Also, if you sell your naming rights to a sponsor, there is no financial benefit. (see Hyundai) :D

Lots of good options in Indiana.

I worked third shift and went to college full-time. Been there... done that!

Yeah, looks fine on this end

Question about scouting though, how are we going to do that? The custom file will have scouts off so are we to do the scouting before-hand?

OK, so i've just finished reading The Soul of Baseball, about Buck O'neil and the Negro Leagues. That coupled with Clay's idea of using Indiana and that being my place of residence, I've decided to go with the Indianapolis Clowns.

This is a direct tribute to the struggles and sacrifice of the men that played the game. And the logo could be really cool. :)

Andrew, the rules look fine to me. I like what you decided to do with turning the scouts off and putting the ratings at 1-5. That should be fair.

One question though. Will the draft be run all at once or will it be a list type of thing and we'll just take turns over a few days? Hope that makes sense.

The reason I'm turning off scouts (ie turning on actual ratings), is because it doesn't give you a chance to scout beforehand. This way you'll be looking at their accurate ratings, but the 1-5 scale won't give you too much of an advantage. Make sense?

I'm hoping to coordinate a time where both you and Spectre are online. I know you work 3rd shift though, so it might be difficult.

If we can do that, I want to run it in 3 parts. Round 1 one day, Round 2 the next or something like that.

The problem is, we're going to be at a standstill until the draft is complete.

I can be available morning or afternoon/nite except for Wednesday's. Dont let my thirdshiftness get in the way, but yeah, if you can set it up for evenings, that would be best. And not on the weekend either, but if you have to, its fine.

Another question. Should we post our stuff like minor league affiliates and logo requests here in this thread? I'm gonna have Squint do the logos because I have absolutely no skills in that area.

I'm up for whenever, I have a research job this summer but nothing too time consuming. I'm more adaptable than chippered time wise.
