Poor Lonnie Bird. Three straight 2-0 losses. The offense stinks. It may be time to fully commit to guys like Inouye and Gaston, who are peforming well at AAA.

3-4 for the Tobs, about usual. Most of our lineup really struggled to hit, with the exception of Adrian Romero. I guess he lost his rookie eligibility last year, I didn't realize that until now.

Our starting pitching did ok, but we blew a couple late leads that could have given us a nice week. It's a work in progress here in Carolina.

B'More looking decent again after a terrible start to the year. After starting 12-18, we've reeled off a 15-6 record and just one game out of 1st place.

                  I thought I exported... I guess I didn't.

That was the ugliest lineup I've ever put out there.

Also, Keppel is 98 hits away from 3,000!

Harry Keppel may quietly be a huge story to watch.

He's a FA after this season. I'm not sure a Contender doesn't offer the farm... a Hershel Walker type deal... to get Keppel later this year. If I'm Hyundai, as hard as it would be to move him, it may be the smartest move for the franchise.

30-21 through May. Resigned Joe Rojas to a big 5 year extension, which also made me happy.

Carmen Chamissa is in beast mode right now. He was #1 on my draft board the season he was eligible and then Pawtucket scooped him up one pick before me :(

                        2-5 baby!

The bats have died (.213 for the week) and Athey went cold the week he got two starts. In typical Porter fashion I should say if things don't improve I am going to start a fire sale soon.

With the way the dice rolls are going for the Bock it looks like whoever wins the Porter is the only team to make the playoffs. One third of the way through the season we're happy to be #1 but I don't have a feeling that will last past next week.

Hopefully in the long run our 6/7 man rotation can stay fresh and win us some games to try and make a race outta it.

Think he's irked about losing the triple crown last year by one % pt.
