1993 BLB Amateur Draft

I had a list, but it has now run out. Pitching is the theme of the draft for us.

Can't run the next SIM till the Draft is done. It wasn't going to be till this afternoon at the earliest anyway, but I can't move forward without the draft info.

I'm on auto from list but anyone who's not and at least regularly checks in, I have no problem with it. The draft is once a year and some of us enjoy trying to find a diamond in the rough. I'm still finding guys that have something about them that's positive.

I also don't get how the late rounds are any more of a problem when we are rolling through a round and a half a day but on Saturday we had something like 2 picks in 12 hours. If you want to speed up the draft, make the second round 3 hours instead of 4 and extend the draft clock to midnight (which realistically cuts it off at 8 pm with a four hour limit).

Also, IIRC, we haven't ever tried to fit a draft in over the course of one week. I think we're at the same speed as usual.

With the 12th pick in the 9th (full) round of the 1993 BLB draft the Philadelphia Freedom select 3B Peter Bowlby. Bowlby clearly has no discernable baseball skills and very likely won’t even receive airfare for a trip to Ft Myers. We’re told he’s an upstanding citizen and a gentleman, both traits that should serve him well in his probable profession of insurance sales.

Just curious; can we email the next person in the future drafts? There were times that I didn't realize I was up because I anticipated the round lasting longer than it did. At times I would have easily jumped on and made my pick if I had known.
