  • Gene Ball was a guy I had my eye on. A little worried about the torn labrum he's coming back from but he's got the talent to be a good pitcher. If I could have traded up, I would have picked him.

There's still a player I'm interested in if someone wants to trade down.

    • Good pick, Smear. That's who I was going to trade up for.

      • I'm working again today (and most of the week)... I'll check in periodically during the day, but hopefully everyone is watching for their turns.

I'm on deck right now, but I have two guys queued... so I shouldn't hold up progress.

Remember... after 2.24... we move to a 2 hour clock... so things should get moving.

Can someone post the picks since 2.23?

            • One guy left on my list when it got to me. I didn't do a lot of prep for the draft. Two MR's with high stamina are all we have to show for it.

                • I was hoping Robby Pearce would come back to me. He's the only pitcher left we thought was any good.

                  • In class right now.

Pick will be up within the next 15-20 minutes when I get to the library.

                    • Thanks. I loaded back up, so I won't hold up the 3rd from starting.

Drafting according to OSA ratings in the utility blows.
                        No.

And yes, I hate it too.

What I do instead is print screen. And then go from there. Maybe use Paint and cross out with the pen tool.

                        • We are officially in that territory where you could have 20 guys on your list and possibly see that whole list through the remainder of the draft.

Ok, that's exaggerating, but the point stands that I'm likely to take someone you and everyone else doesn't even know exists.

                          • Pick is up. Baltimore selects Fabrizio Sbarro out of Venezuela. According to my scout, he's destined to be an above average reliever in the BLB. There's no doubt that he'll have the stuff to sit down batters, but the question will be his ability (or lack thereof) of pitch control. He works hard and really only needs to work on that change-up. In the unlikely event that he develops a 3rd pitch, he has the potential to maybe become a 4th or 5th starter.

In other news, I wouldn't bet against Clay's drafting, but Don Kirby was completely off the radar for my scout.

Kirby not really on my radar either. My "Top 100" level guys are all gone, so I'm trying some things out. Kirby is an experiment.
