    • I can't believe you got Lonnie Johnston where you got him. Really lucky to get him where you did.

        • Jury duty today, selected for felony case. I've turned on auto pick, I think, from my phone. If not,Clay please auto me when/if the time comes.

          • I didn't do the homework on this draft outside the first few rounds.

Had my first auto pick in Clint Butler, CF'er from Oregon State in the 4th round. OSA doesn't like his ratings... will have to see if he'll even stick to make the A ball roster after the draft.

My scout had him as a Top 60 pick. Great power and will take the occasional walk against a pitcher with no control. Otherwise he's swinging for the fences.

              Maybe a AAA star.

I might have to kill his development and just drop him in AAA to start his career because of all the injuries that are piling up on my OF'ers. I'm running out of healthy bodies at BLB/AAA level.

Do what you want, but in my opinion that would really be a shame. Looking at his potential ratings, I think you've got a real stud on your hands if you handle him appropriately and allow him to develop his outstanding natural gifts at a reasonable pace.

At the risk of repeating myself, I think Clint Butler may be the steal of this draft.

I agree. I think he could be another MAP but without all the injuries and sad decline since he only plays 1B.

                      • Hmm... OSA must be really off then. They have him at 4-4-2-4-4 potential.

                              Oh it was a joke?

Right over my head. Well either way, my scout liked the guy enough to warrant his draft position.

You can't win in this game with just prospects...to many of them just fall on their face. They are great currency in trades though because everyone has dreams of greatness!
Who you tellin'? My top prospects all seemingly stop being any good by the time they turn 28.

Every single one of the guys who are 27 or 28 and under performing were once Top Prospects in the BLB for my organization or someone else's. Once upon a time they even did as much as showcase that amazing talent.

And now, we're in third place. Ah, prospects.
