  • Big Potential Jumps

Has anyone else seen some big jumps in potential. I got this one in the last sim:

Reliever J. Ewing (Gettysburg Glory, Single A) pitching potential INCREASES.

I had him as a 20/20 OVR with 3/5/4 potential ratings. I got an email saying he got a bump and now my head scout has him as 20/67 OVR with 6/5/6 potential.

I've seen minor jumps before, but this is the first I've seen of this magnitude. Anyone else seen anything similar?

I had it happen with one of my pitchers (well according to Robby at least ;) ). Ron Maclagan was just a mediocre starter in BLB for a couple years and then was back in the minors. Lo and behold, he gets a pretty big jump in statistics (not as big as your guy) and is dominating competition in AAA.

It's a really sweet addition to this version of the game- these guys who you write off that become solid prospects. I love the hell out of prospect development in 2007.

Ya. I had a pitcher go from 50+ potential from all my scouts to 28.

I had Rogado go from 65-68 down to 40. Can't say I liked that.

Yah I've seen plenty of guys go down. Just curious if people have seen minor league scrubs go up this much. The guys ERA is 6.97 so kind of strange that he just "figured it out". Not that I'm complaining.

Just had my 2nd round pick from this draft, who was 70+ potential from all my scouts, drop to 20/20.

Not only his overall, but all of his individual ratings are crap.

AAA 1B Tom Tillbrook just jumped from a 20 to a 67...HOWEVER. This kid was a A and a AA allstar. He played in the majors last year but wansn't ready. Can't say I'm suprised by this as he always showed potential.
